The photograph was taken in 1955 and features Teacher Mr B Massey with his class on the steps to the Top Oval in 1955. The school flag pole can be seen in the background of the photograph.
The photograph is part of a series of photographs taken by Geoffrey McMullen OSC1956. The Archive is extremely fortunate in receiving Geoffrey's remarkable collection of nostalgic photographs taken throughout the mid 1950s. The donation comprises of images of Headmaster Peter Corsar Anderson, Interschool swimming competitions held at the Crawley Baths, Public Schools Association sporting events - including Head of the River looking towards South Perth and images of the Boatshed at Freshwater Bay, Peppermint Grove.
