The photograph was taken by Geoffrey McMullen OSC1956 in 1954, featuring Friday Marching past Headmaster P. C. Anderson in front of his Congdon Street Claremont home featuring Headmaster Maxwell Keys holding his wheelchair. Students used to march past Headmaster P. C. Anderson's home every Friday before commencement of weekly assemblies. Scotch College purchased the home as a gift for the many years of service P. C. Anderson contributed to the school.
The photograph is part of a series of photographs taken by Geoffrey McMullen OSC1956. The Archive is extremely fortunate in receiving Geoffrey's remarkable collection of nostalgic photographs taken throughout the mid 1950s. The donation comprises of images of Headmaster Peter Corsar Anderson, Interschool swimming competitions held at the Crawley Baths, Public Schools Association sporting events - including Head of the River looking towards South Perth and images of the Boatshed at Freshwater Bay, Peppermint Grove.
